In pairs you will analyse a propaganda poster and present your evaluation in the form of an oral presentation.
Present your findings in this order:

- Socio-historical context - when was the poster made? what country and political situation does it relate to? What is the purpose of the poster? What audience is it targeted towards?
- How does the poster aim to attract attention and what is the most salient part of the poster?
- What graphic features are used and to what effect? Notice the colours, choice of image(s), layout, font.
- What language is used to persuade the audience?
- Which persuasive techniques can you identify? Justify your opinion.
- What is your overall summation of the effectiveness and reception of this poster?
Propaganda Posters
Individually, you will create a propaganda poster on a political issue of your choice
- Pick a political topic and do the necessary research.
- Choose the persuasive techniques you want to use.
- Select the visual components of the poster: images, colours, layout.
- Choose the slogan and additional text if you want to (focus on language).
- Write the rationale explaining your choices in paragraph form
